Who we are

Youi, the journey to Auckland

OUTsurance first launched in South Africa in 1998. Fast-forward 15 years and OUTsurance is now the largest direct insurer in South Africa, with a workforce more than 3,300 people strong and with more than 1.5 million live risks on cover.

Youi then launched in Australia in 2008 with a handful of employees, and has since grown to over 800 employees ...and still counting. Our customers could fill Eden Park 5 times, with over 500,000 policies open with Youi.

We have recently opened the first Youi South African call centre, with 220 dedicated staff to help service our growing Australian client base, and now we've arrived in New Zealand. Youi's Auckland call center opened its doors in August 2013 and already employs more than 140 staff.

We believe that a great work environment is extremely important and we have chosen the location of our New Zealand office with that in mind.

So close to both South and Northbound Motorway onramps and just six kilometres from the Auckland CBD, the Youi building is extremely central and easily accessible. Both train station and bus stops are within easy walking distance.

Our NZ Youi’ers will be working in a bright, open plan office environment with modern kitchen and staff breakout area including a recreation room, shower facilities and surrounded by services such as a gym, a childcare centre, many quality cafes and restaurants and a convenience store.
